Brooke A. Cole, Director

Ms. Brooke Cole is in her 13th year as Director of Elam Alexander Academy and has dedicated 23 years to serving students and schools through GNETS. Throughout her career at EAA, she has served in a variety of roles, including Support Therapist, Educational Therapist, Teacher with Special Duties, Assistant Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and Director. Her experience and commitment to student success help guide the academy's mission of providing high-quality educational and therapeutic services to students and families across Middle Georgia. 

Fun Fact: 
When she's not at EAA, Ms. Cole enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and making memories with her loved ones.

Angel Helms, Treatment Coordinator

With more than 25 years of experience in education, Ms. Helms is dedicated to supporting students through positive behavior interventions, therapeutic supports, and relationship-centered practices. Throughout her career, she has worked to help students develop the skills needed to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve success both in and out of the classroom. As Treatment Coordinator at Elam Alexander Academy, Ms. Helms oversees behavior management systems and supports the implementation of therapeutic interventions. She works closely with students, families, and staff to ensure behavioral supports are proactive, effective, and focused on student growth. 

Fun Fact: Ms. Helms once had dinner with legendary University of Tennessee Women's Basketball Coach Pat Summitt. "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!"

Leah Watson, Treatment Coordinator 

With 22 years of experience in education, I believe that education changes lives. As an Instructional Coordinator, I am passionate about supporting educators, inspiring student success, and fostering a culture of continuous growth. Through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, I strive to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, achieve, and reach their full potential. 

Fun Fact: Mrs. Watson enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling to new places, creating lasting memories, and embracing new experiences with her husband and two wonderful children who inspire her every day.

Steven Grant, Treatment Coordinator

With more than 21 years of education, Mr. Grant has served students in a variety of educational settings, including homebound instruction, self-contained classrooms, mainstream schools, and specialized programs. His extensive experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of diverse learners. Throughout his career, Mr. Grant has been an active leader in school improvement efforts, serving on leadership and improvement teams focused on strengthening student outcomes and promoting educational excellence. As a Coordinator at Elam Alexander Academy, he works collaboratively with educators, families, and community partners to create positive learning environments where students can overcome challenges and thrive. Mr. Grant is passionate about student advocacy and believes that every student can achieve success when provided with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities. 

Fun Fact: Born in England, Mr. Grant enjoys watching soccer and is a dedicated Star Wars fan.

Doug Ward, Treatment Coordinator

Mr. Doug Ward has more than 21 years of experience in education, beginning his career at Elam Alexander Academy. Throughout his tenure at EAA, he has served in both teaching and administrative roles across multiple program sites, supporting students, families, and school teams. As a Coordinator, Mr. Ward is dedicated to helping students overcome challenges, achieve success, and reach their full potential. He takes pride in building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and district partners and is committed to providing high-quality educational and behavioral support that positively impacts the communities served by EAA. 

Fun Fact: Mr. Ward enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and is a devoted Georgia Southern football fan who loves cheering on the Eagles.

Tonesha Battle, Treatment Coordinator

With more than 18 years of experience in education, Ms. Battle is passionate about supporting students, families, and school teams through collaborative, student-centered services. At Elam Alexander Academy, she coordinates therapeutic and academic supports, oversees special education compliance, manages student intake and placement processes, and assists with program operations and instructional support. Ms. Battle is committed to building strong relationships and ensuring that students, families, and educators feel supported throughout every stage of the educational process. She believes that teamwork, communication, and a focus on student success are key to helping students reach their full potential. 

Fun Fact: Ms. Battle loves spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and cheering on her favorite teams. Her game-day motto is: "Rise Up, Falcons!" and "Let's Go Dawgs!"

SaraRose Masters, Coordinator of Psychological Services

Mrs. SaraRose Masters has been serving students at Elam Alexander Academy for the past 15 years, in several different capacities. As a Coordinator, she works collaboratively with students, families, school teams, and partnering school districts to support student success through psychological assessments, behavioral consultations, data-informed decision-making, and systems-level problem solving. She helps lead the development of behavioral supports, coordinates the development and implementation of tiered intervention systems, supports eligibility processes, and provides consultation and professional learning to educators. Her experience in both classroom instruction and school psychology provides a unique perspective in helping students overcome challenges while fostering positive outcomes for students and families. 

Fun Fact: Mrs. Masters enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
